Set the Oven: Set the oven to 400° F.
Prepare the Baking Surface: Line a baking sheet or pizza stone with parchment paper and lightly grease it with olive oil spray or a thin layer of regular olive oil.
Prepare the Cauliflower: If using a whole cauliflower, remove the stems and leaves, then chop the florets into chunks. Pulse them in a food processor or blender until they resemble rice. If you don't have a food processor, you can grate the cauliflower by hand or purchase pre-riced cauliflower for convenience.
Cook the Cauliflower Rice: Sauté the riced cauliflower in a non-stick skillet over medium heat for about 6-8 minutes until it becomes translucent. Alternatively, microwave it in an uncovered bowl for around 8 minutes.
Mix the Dough: In a bowl, combine the cooked cauliflower with garlic, mozzarella cheese, egg, basil, and oregano. The cheese may melt slightly, which is fine.
Form the Crust: Transfer the cauliflower mixture to the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly into a circle. Aim for a thickness of 1/4 to 1/3 inch, with the pizza being about 9-10 inches in diameter.
Bake the Crust: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy around the edges, and fully cooked through.
Switch to Broil: Once the crust is ready, remove it from the oven and set the oven to broil.
Add Toppings: Spread pizza sauce over the crust and sprinkle with cheese. You can also add extra toppings, but it's best to avoid too many heavy ones to keep the crust from becoming soggy.
Broil: Broil for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil and crushed red pepper for extra flavor.
